Pepperidge Farm® Grilled Artisan Bread with Middle Eastern Dips

Bake/Grill: 30 minutes

Thick slices of authentic, Artisan Breads are of the perfect carrier for toppings rich with Middle Eastern flavor: Tapenades of black and green olive, earthy eggplant-rich Baba Ghanoush, garlic-kissed sesame Tahini, creamy Hummus of chick peas, sautéed Summer Squash with Tahini dip, Roasted Red Pepper dip spicy with jalapeno and cumin, and White Bean Dip rich with garlic.

ingredients

1 pkg. (14 oz.) Hearth Fired Artisan Bread, any variety
1/4 cup olive oil

directions

1. Bake and cool the bread according to the package directions. Diagonally slice each loaf into 1-inch thick slices. Brush the bread slices with the oil.

2. Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium-high. Place the bread on the grill. Grill the bread for about 4 minutes or until lightly browned, turning the bread at a 90° angle, (making crisscross grill marks) halfway through cooking. Serve grilled bread with an assortment of Middle Eastern dips such as:
Green Olive Tapenade
Baba Ghanoush
Hummus
Spicy Roasted Red Pepper Dip

TIP: To Broil: Heat the broiler. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Broil the bread so the top is 7 inches from the heat for 2 minutes or until lightly browned, turning over halfway through cooking.

Recipe can easily be halved.
